Everyone has a different ideal poster size. We can help assist in a custom print that’s most suitable for your project.
Most commonly categorised as Gloss (high sheen) or Satin (low sheen) paper types. Coated with a surface sealant, typically clay, to impart certain qualities to the paper, including weight, surface gloss and smoothness. The coating on the paper reduces dot gain by not allowing the ink to absorb into the paper. This allows for cleaner crisper printing, especially in photos, blends and fine details.
Uncoated stocks lack extra finishes or coatings, and are great for short term solutions or tight budgets. For a touch of elegance, consider premium matte stocks.

Standard A4 or A3 sized posters are most popular due to its size and ease of portability. It is important to note creating a poster in a standard size will help keep costs more economical. We work with large sheets, and deviating from standard sizes can influence the amount of paper and materials used, potentially increasing the cost to you.

Any files supplied as print-ready artwork should be provided as high resolution PDF files.
We can also accept raw working files from professional design applications such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign – but ultimately all orders are processed as PDF’s and will help for more efficient processing and ensuring no elements have dropped out. Photoshop is only recommended to edit and manipulate images as text will not appear as sharp.
Please note, although we can accept Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint files, these will not be considered press-ready files suitable for commercial printing. The file might print as expected, but we may encounter formatting/ font issues, and other issues that may not be seen.

Although 300dpi is the optimal resolution for print, another important factor to consider is the viewing distance.
For poster and marketing collateral that is going to be viewed up close or in hand, a resolution of 250-300dpi is best suited for a crisp print.
Posters are normally viewed at a distance and at a distance of 2 metres, a resolution of 100dpi-150dpi is passable.
In order to choose the perfect type of stock, consider what you want to accomplish through your campaign. Consider gloss, silk, and uncoated stocks for projects that need a polished look. If you want to showcase your company’s capabilities with less emphasis on design, go with Matt or recycled stocks.
